Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu East peak (6584 m) is a smaller peak in comparison lies in south east of Chulu West. It provides amazing sights of the mountain such as Annapurna II, III and IV, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho peak and Mt.Manaslu. It is an integral part of Manang Himal merged both Chulu East and Chulu West peaks which eventually combined with Damodar Himal.

 

 Chulu East peak begins from Beshisahar. Until reaching Chulu East peak we encompass a variety of flora and fauna along the trail of this Annapurna Region make us incredible. It is precisely difficult for the new climbers. Therefore there must be needed to be familiar with the use of climbing activities like crampons, tying knots, harness ice axe, handling climbing ropes and so on. Chulu East is one of thirty classic trekking peaks in Nepal.

Quick Information

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing in highlighted area of capital city Kathmandu and preparation for the trip.
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu via Besishahar (6h-850m) to Syage and O/n at lodge.
Day 04: Syange – Tal village (6h-1314m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 05: Tal Village – Timang (6h-1943m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 06: Timang – Chame (5h30-2713m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 07: Chame – Pisang (6h-3185m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 08: Pisang –Manang (3500m) and acclimatization for high altitude.
Day 09: Manang to Yak Kharka (6h-4000m) and O/n at lodge.
Day 10: Yak Kharka - Chulu East Base camp (4.900 m). 3/4 h.
Day 11: Base Camp - High Camp (4955m.) & plan the climbing route and try to set up High Camp during the day.
Day 12: If well acclimatized, you could attempt the summit and if not, rest at the High Camp for the next day too.
Day 13: If weather permitting, we make the summit ascent today and return to Base Camp.
Day 14: Base camp – Yak Kharka (4000m.) 6 hours.
Day 15: Lather - Thorongphedi (4510m) - 4 hours, spend whole day for the rest.
Day 16: Thorong Phedi - Thorong-La pass (5,416m) - Muktinath (3800m) - 9 hours.
Day 17: Drive Muktinath - Kagbeni (2800m) - Jomsom (2726m) - 5 hours.
Day 18: Drive Jomsom - Tatopani (1189m) – 5-6 hours, visit hot spring.
Day 19: Trek Tatopani - Ghorepani (2855m) - 8 hours.
Day 20: Early in the morning ascend Poonhill (3200m) for the beautiful sunrise and spectacular views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre ranges. After breakfast decent to Trikhedhunga (1577m) - 6 hours.
Day 21: Trikhedhunga – Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara  stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 22: Drive east to Kathmandu (200km/8 hrs) by bus or if  fly to Ktm. - 35 minutes.
Day 23: Explore day in Kathmandu, Shopping and Farewell dinner.
Day 24: Transfer To Airport On Time for Departure.
